Purchasing terms & conditions

The below is an exact copy of the same purchasing terms and conditions presented to all customers at the checkout.

All customers wishing to contractually engage in the purchase of products from this website are required to read these terms and click a confirmatory 'checkbox' at the checkout. The checkbox is a contractual agreement between the vendor and the customer.

The below terms and conditions apply to all customers. Absolutely no discretions, exemptions or exceptions will be made in any circumstances.

Please read carefully! All purchases are final. Refunds will not be provided under any circumstances.

System requirements
All the stacks sold through this website require RapidWeaver and the Stacks plugin. They will not install or work with any other publishing platforms (like Flow, Drupal, Blocs or Wordpress).

We recommend you aim towards installing the latest version of RapidWeaver that your computer is capable of running (preferably RapidWeaver 7 or greater) and Stacks 3 or later. Both are a separate purchase if you do not own them already.

Stacks4Stacks generously provides you fully-functioning free demo versions of everything sold on this website. This enables you to fully test addons before committing to a purchase. There are no time or functionality limitations applied.

If you cannot get the free demo version to work, DO NOT proceed with purchasing the stack - because the purchased stack is unlikely to work any better for you. Please request technical assistance first.

License agreement

You may use a purchased stack an unlimited number of times in personal or commercial projects and request technical support.

We permit you to install stacks onto all computers that you own. You are permitted to make private archival backup copies (e.g. iCloud, Disk Blaze, Google Drive or Dropbox).

You may not resell, redistribute or make a stack available for download, remove copyright credits, license information, or claim the stack to be your own creation. This includes free stacks, demo stacks or paid stacks, in modified or unmodified states.

The software is provided "as is" without any implied or expressed warranty of merchantability or fitness for purpose. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort or otherwise arising from, out of or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.

Refund policy
By purchasing from this website, you agree that your purchase will be available immediately via digital download and that you waive your statutory right of withdrawal.

All purchases are final. Refunds cannot be provided (we physically cannot un-download or remove stacks from your computer) under any circumstances.

You are reminded to make use of the free demo versions already provided on the website, to fully evaluate stacks for compatibility and suitability before making a purchase.

If you cannot get the free demo version to work, DO NOT proceed with purchasing the stack - because the purchased stack is unlikely to work any better for you. Please request technical assistance first.

Be certain that the stack you are buying is actually the one you want, and that you don't already own it or are confusing it with another stack of similar name or functionality.

Purchase process
The checkout system is provided by Paddle. An attempt is made to display prices in your local currency, with relevant taxes applied.

To complete your order, you must supply a valid email address. Your purchase receipt and download link will be sent to this address you supply. If you do not receive your purchase shortly after completing it, please carefully check your spam or junk mail folders.

Your purchases are available to re-download at anytime, via this secure order lookup page.

Prices shown on the website include any applicable VAT or sales tax. You will be sent a full receipt by email. Charitable and bulk discounts may be available on request. Please get in touch if you have any queries about our pricing.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries relating to order processing. Paddle also provides an order lookup system, commonly referred to as your Paddle Account.

Customer support
If you have questions that relate specifically to a stack, you should make contact via the contact page.

General questions can be asked on the RapidWeaver Community Forums.

Fraud Prevention, Chargebacks & Piracy

A small minority think it is acceptable to buy addons and then demand refunds or submit chargebacks. As is made perfectly clear at the checkout, we do not provide refunds, under any circumstances. There is simply no need for refunds, because everyone already has full access to free demo versions.

Any attempt to 'chargeback' a purchase will be treated as fraud. Details of such customers are added to a blacklist; resulting in them being permanently banned from making future purchases and losing entitlement to all support and future updates. Details of fraudulent customers could also be shared with other developers, the card issuer, credit rating agencies, banks and relevant governmental or legal authorities.

We operate a strict zero tolerance towards fraud and any other devious activity. We strive to work hard in making this community a fair, safe and friendly space for everyone.

If you see any of our stacks being offered for illegal download elsewhere in places like forums, file sharing torrents or download websites, please make contact with us and provide any relevant information. Like the illegal distribution of films and music files, addon piracy severely stifles future development and drives-up costs for everyone else.

Support Provision

Customer support is prioritised for customers of paid stacks or customers who have made a donation for free stacks via the contribute page. We endeavour to provide a fast and friendly response to all enquiries, either from the office or via mobile. Replies may be slower around weekends and during holiday time. Extended periods of downtime may be highlighted at top of the contact page.

Please carefully read the information on the contact page, to ensure your message includes all the relevant information needed to help you. Support is provided in English. Translation is available via the RapidWeaver Community Forums. Support messages lacking sufficient details may go unanswered.

We reserve the right to withdraw support provision from any individuals who send derogatory, hateful or abusive messages. We have a strict zero tolerance towards any persons engaging in offensive or harassing behaviour towards ourselves or other community members.

Free Demo's Information

Free demo versions are provided for all paid stacks. Free demo's are only to be used for evaluation of stacks on a personal basis, by customers genuinely interested in potentially buying our stacks.

Always use free demo versions before committing to the purchase of a stack. If you cannot make a demo stack work, DO NOT buy the full stack. Instead, seek technical support first. All purchases are final and refunds will not be provided.

Unless otherwise stated on the product pages, all demo versions have a fully functioning feature set. Demo restrictions normally include a credit displayed at the bottom of the screen, advertising links and blockage from receiving automatic updates.

Sharing or discussion of free demo versions (e.g. feature comparisons) by non-customers in community forums, websites and social media is prohibited. On the basis that the feature set of a stack is liable to change over time.

Competing developers are also not permitted to download free demo versions to copy features, code or ideas from the free demo versions, without prior permission first.

Security Policy

Stacks4Stacks will never contact you to request personal details like credit card details or PayPal logins. Assume that any unsolicited message you receive (proclaiming to be from us or an associate) is a scam.

We suggest that customers familiarise themselves with the Take 5 campaign for online security.

If creating (or resetting) your Paddle account password, please choose to use an extremely strong password you are not using for other services. Likewise please ensure the passwords you use for services like PayPal or other payment methods are extremely strong and different to those being used elsewhere. Use a password manager like 1Password, LastPass or BitWarden if it helps you.

Ensure that automatic updates are enabled for RapidWeaver, your plugins and other addons. Please download and install any updates that suggest there may be security changes or improvements.

Some of our stacks use PHP. Older versions of PHP are venerable to security breaches, because they are no longer actively supported or patched. It is recommended that you always run the latest version of PHP that your web server is capable of running. Please speak with your hosting company if you need help with this.
